Fall/Winter 2013

Looking for the perfect accessory to an otherwise boring outfit sparks frenzies in most of us. For some reason, that pink peplum or gold studded collar just won't do. And nothing can make your outfit "pop" more than, bags. Here are some of my favourite F/W 2013 pieces, straight from the runways!

Dolce & Gabbana incorporated a wholly casual-Italian theme into their collection, revisiting Domenico Dolce's Sicilian roots, complete with printed scarves and basket bags! Cutesy!

I think the Versace collection for 2013 was ah-mazing, totally wearable. The bags are versatile, practical and easy to pull off too!

Bottega Veneta, not to be undone by the Gabbana collection, pulled out a slightly more monotonous collection with some really chic bags though!

Now that Paris Fashion Week is under way, let us all hang on for the last quarter of the fashion tsunami! Au revoir!
Much love, xoxox

WARNING: INDUCES HYPERVENTILATION

We've all had it. Upon having laid eyes on it, it just doesn't leave our memory, lurking in our subconscious and it waits for instinct to overpower us and when it finally does, BAM, you've fallen.
Your credit card gets swiped, and you're the proud (and weary) owner of a new bag.

These are some of the bags that are just STELLAR, they're amazing and I want them all! Salivation may occur, take all precautions!
Black Optical Stud Skull Knucklebox Cluth by Alexander McQueen,  £1,280 ($2,539)
Alexander McQueen,  £1,435( $2,847)
Mirror Metallic Clutch by Anndra Neen,  $745

Marine Pearlescent with Clear Ice Edges by Edie Parker,  €775 ( $1,538)
Dax Gabler Chocolate Clutch by Dax Gabler,  $1,990
Zebra Beluga Bag by Devi Kroell, price unavailable

Paper Lunch Bag by Jil Sander, £185 ($367)

Now, who wants to buy me all of these bags? *hopeful*

Much love xoxo

Model Talk feat. Liu Wen

'Tis the season to celebrate the becoming of Asian models, like Liu Wen. This girl is like, THE BOMB. Being Asian myself, you'll be able to sense the pride in this post, have fun!

Born 27 January, 1988, this 24 year old model made it into the elite model clan a.k.a Victoria's Secret. She was the first model of Asian descent to strut the runways of the VS show in 2009, again in 2010 & again in 2011. Originating from Yongzhou, China, she led a comfortable lifestyle where she was steered into modeling by her mother.

Upon discovery at the New Silk Road World Model Contest, she landed the cover of Chinese FHM even though she didn't win!

However, what caught the eye of the international fashion industry was her editorial shot with Cosmopolitan, where she donned Karl Lagerfeld, and Viktor and Rolf pieces.

In 2007, Liu shot FOUR articles for Chinese Vogue & debuted on international runways for Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Hermès. Talk about shooting to stardom!

Today, Liu Wen has done campaigns for Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Diesel, Marni and much more. She was the only girl to be shot in major Vogue editorials for Vogue Germany, Vogue China, Vogue Italia, Vogue Espana, British Vogue, American Vogue and Teen Vogue.
She has done editorials for V Magazine, Numèro GQ , Harper's Bazaar & she's been featured in Elle and Marie Clarie too. ALL OF THIS FROM 2006-2012. LEGENDARY.

She was also picked for the dream job of being a VS angel in 2009, which she gladly accepted and walked for them the year, and the following year as well. Adding on to this, she became the face of cosmetics giant, Estèe Lauder in 2010. In August 2012, she was also ranked #5 on the Top 50 Models Women List by models.com,  amongst the likes of Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls!

I personally can't wait to see this superstar shine ever more brightly , she's definitely up for an amazing future!! Remember this name guys, its going down in future,  fo' sho'

Fashion Week Street Style (Part 2)

Back for Round 2 of street style! By the way, have you guys heard I Hate You But I Love You by Russian Red? Her voice is very mellow and it's extremely soothing, I like her! Now, more street style.

This mystery lady has my heart, and more importantly, the exotic skin Proenza Schouler bag i want. But IS she doing that Orange and Gold Proenza piece justice in them sandal boots? What do you think?

Lovelovelove the shorts by Sally Lapointe, the outfit screams man repeller to me, with the Floral ADIDAS high-tops! G'job!
I love the look! The white and grey is offset by the black buttons, shoes and belt! Can someone tell me the name of the peacoat?
Well thats a wrap for now! & I just caught the Dolce&Gabbana S/S 2013 show which was, of course, FABULOUS!  watch the full show here!
Much love, xoxo

Fashion Week Street Style (Part 1)

Street style is just amazing. The way i see it, street style is like a constant runway show surrounding us( part of the reason why i love people-watching) & it's such a great source of inspiration. The different ways in which people wear clothes spark me to push the boundaries of normalism, and I'm sure you'd feel the same way!
Check out her stellar dress!
This Bilbao Tote by Issey Miyake goes with almost anything i swear, it makes sweatpants and track shoes look good!

Alexander Wang has done it again. This is just amaze-balls & I need it pronto!
Alright lovelies, stay tuned for part 2 soon, my Macbook is at 3% :( Pssft, so much for being "pro" haha
 Much Love, xoxo

Versace S/S 2013

ENJOY. Much love, xoxo

Michael Kors Spring 2013

I just LOVED Michael Kors' S/S 2013 collection!! I mean the monogrammatic blurs of stripes and overlaying contrasts of black and white stole the show, and later came the exhilarating colour-play of green and blue. Are monogram patterns a trend i spot? Meanwhile, the men's blazers and colour-block holdalls are to DIE for!

One would wonder how Mr. Kors , a panel judge on Project Runway, director of 5 boutiques of his line KORS and the creative director of his line MICHAEL, has the time to get inspired and create these stunners. Way to go, Michael!

Jil Sander's S/S 2013

Jil Sanders' S/S 2013 collection is just.. effortless. What i noticed were clean cut and minimalistic creations. Oversized peacoats and waistcoats added layers, and texture to the outfits while shoes were kept to basic oxfords, very much of what screams Jil Sanders to me! Nudes and monogrammatic black&white pieces were dominant but there were playful dashes of bright colours on some outfits. On the whole, i think this collection is very much back-to-school-ish and straightforward, very much Jil Sanders indeed.

Fashion Week!

So we've just ended New York and London Fashion Week,  and let us just say fashion is at its all time high for S/S 2013! From 90's military rock-inspired pieces from fashion giant Versace to Zac Posen gowns that render you speechless, designers are out in full force to keep you looking effortlessly chic thoughout the season.
With Milan Fashion Week ending on the 25th and Paris Fashion Week ending on the 3rd of October,  i can't be more excited for the amazing art that's heading our way!

Much Love xoxo

Isn't fashion for everyone?

Well, the answer is not what you'd expect. My stumble into the fascinating world of fashion started young at 13,  when i started flipping through the pages of fashion magazines like Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and GQ Magazine. What i saw kept me enraptured, & the stories the pictures told were amazing! Then i noticed the clothes they wore, or rather, how they wore it. These were what subconsciously drew me into the utopia of exciting and invigorating fashion.

Growing up, I've come to understood how fashion is ultimately a tool for us to express ourselves, is it not? (: Fashion is not just about the mixing of colours and following trends but it includes pushing ourselves to express ourselves to the best we can, and finding ourselves a path untrodden! To speak logically, it would be close-minded to assume that EVERYONE can afford to follow fashion as well. So in conclusion, i feel that it the answer to my question would be ' it depends'.
Now, lets all go buy Jil Sander's S/S '13 collection.

Much love xoxo
